George Radwan

George has exhibited at the Art Place Gallery in Fairfield, CT, Gordon Fine Arts Gallery in Westport, CT and in the new member exhibit at the Edward Hopper House Museum in Nyack, NY. His work was also in the Art In the Windows in New Canaan, CT, as well as the Ridgefield Guild of Artists Juried Member show. He is a member of the Art Place Gallery in Fairfield, CT, Westport Artists Collective, the Ridgefield Guild of Artists and the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan, CT.

Statement

My work has been slowly transitioning from discarded objects and rusty, weathered materials, to concrete, plaster and sand, castings and forms. Sometimes with found objects or rusty metal accents. I like the concept of Brutalism – block-like forms and raw concrete construction.

George Radwan received a BFA in Advertising Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. After working on Madison Avenue as an art director for many years, George changed careers and worked as a Senior Project Manager at VCA Inc., a high-end custom residential millwork and furniture company located in Northampton, MA. Currently he is a project manager at Lanserring Inc. in Soho, NY, a bespoke kitchen and millwork design and fabrication company.
