Artist’s Statement

Artist’s Statement:When my 3rd grade teacher told us to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up, I drew a stick figure of myself standing in front of an easel and titled it, “ARTEST.” I soon realized that crayons, pencils and paint were not my forte. At 10 years old my mother handed me her folding Kodak camera. I finally found my tool. A camera gave me the opportunity to create what I was seeing. Fast forward to digital photography and I am able to shoot my image and enhance it with a digital artist’s brush.
