After three years in the army (1962-1965), I went to art school at the "New York Phoenix School of Design" in Manhattan for three years. The emphasis was on developing drawing skills and basics in anatomy before a student could branch out into different areas. Upon spending 20 years in the art field the introduction of computer graphics began to usurp hands-on illustrative work forcing me into the baking field to make a living. Now I'm retired, living with my wife, Sandy, and our two cats, painting purely as a hobby in a science fiction format. I
