Missing My Family

Via mixed media artwork that also includes pieces of family photos, I explore the relationship between myself and my life journey of a legal alien through four countries. The submitted painting is part of the series about childhood memories and adult reflections on a home, family, and relationships. This is my inspection of existing and missing family bonds – those roots and branches that were severed due to major political shifts in my birth country, displacement, and immigration.
